Operations Manager

About the position

An established transport and logistics organisation is seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimise its operational functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead transport and logistics operations to achieve operational excellence
• Drive productivity, fleet utilisation, cost control and profitability
• Manage operational budgets and performance targets
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ, ISO, RTMS and legislative requirements
• Lead operational teams and drive accountability across the business
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and service delivery standards

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Transport or Business Management
• 5-10 years' operational leadership experience within Transport & Logistics
• Senior management experience within a transport or logistics environment
• Exposure to Mining, FMCG, Construction or related logistics sectors
• Strong financial, operational and people management skills
• Advanced MS Office proficiency
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
