Operations Manager

About the position

A well-established company in Kempton Park is seeking an Aftermarket / Service Manager from an OEM or engineering environment
Minimum Requirements

• At least 5 years’ experience managing or coordinating technical/service teams (engineering, mining, manufacturing preferred)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Proven ability to solve problems and improve processes
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience in training and developing technical staff
• Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance standards
• Valid South African driver’s license
• Engineering or trade qualification (Advantage)
• South African citizen 

Role purpose 
Ensure that Customer Support Technicians (CSTs) are positively representing the company brand to companies AFRICA Customer base and to ensure that all servicing complies with relevant legislation with the appropriate supporting documentation. Ensure that the communication with the Service and Sales Support teams

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead and manage a team of technicians across South Africa, Ghana and Zambia
• Gradually take on additional responsibilities such as debtors control and accounts receivable
• Ensure quality, timely completion of service reports, audits and tasks
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and legal requirements
• Coordinate with sales and support teams to meet customer needs
• Monitor team performance, training and development
• Improve service processes and operational efficiency
• Plan and manage team capacity and workload
• Conduct site visits, inspections and safety briefings
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Build and maintain strong internal and customer relationships
