About the position

Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate all daily operational activities, including fleet management, warehousing, stock control, planning, and team leadership. This role requires a highly organised, hands-on individual with strong leadership skills and an excellent understanding of Johannesburg and Pretoria routes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Management:
• Manage and oversee day-to-day operations across warehouse, dispatch, and fleet.
• Conduct weekly operational planning and scheduling.
• Fleet Management:
• Assign and schedule vehicles for daily deliveries.
• Monitor vehicle condition, maintenance schedules, and fuel usage.
• Handle route changes, delays, and breakdown responses.
• Ensure compliance with road safety and company policies.
• Warehousing & Stock Control:
• Oversee receiving, storage, dispatch, and stock rotation.
• Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular stock counts.
• Manage warehouse layout, housekeeping, and safety standards.

 

Minimum Requirements:

• Male candidate required for intensive operational duties.
• 5+ years’ experience in operations, logistics, or warehousing management.
• Proven experience managing fleet and warehouse teams.
• Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent geographic knowledge of JHB & Pretoria.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clear criminal record.
