About the position

We're Hiring:Operations Manager
?? Gauteng| ??ElectromechanicalSector

?? Permanent

Production & Workflow Management

  • Organise workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  • Monitor and drive production to achieve deadlines and continuous improvement
  • Determine necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, etc.)
  • Analyse budgets, control production costs, and identify waste
  • Create and implement operational changes
  • Focus on growing business through product/line changes
Team Leadership & Performance

  • Liaise with managers to align on objectives
  • Supervise and evaluate production personnel
  • Define and implement production targets
  • HR management and recruitment within operations
Design & Product Development

  • Lead the design process for high-quality, cost-effective solutions
  • Ensure continuous improvement in product quality
  • Design for customer-specific applications and development
Maintenance & Equipment

  • Schedule planned maintenance with relevant teams
  • Specify and purchase equipment
Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental systems
  • Support SHEQ initiatives
  • Ensure ISO 9000 and SABS compliance
  • Maintain housekeeping standards
  • Coordinate with contractors to address and resolve electrical quality issues.
?? What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree/ diploma in mechanical, electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years in operations management (steel/electromechanical preferred)
  • Trade Test Certification
  • Hands-on production and design experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, ERP & manufacturing systems
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000, SABS, labour law, and safety regulations
