About the position
An experienced Operations/Project Manager with experience in handling Operations and Projects in the Water Treatment industry required for a company in the Witbank area
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for effectively managing Plant Production and Maintenance teams
- Effectively manage plant staff and resources
- Constantly monitor the plant and ensure prompt action to ensure plant availability
- Ensure all quality and operation/control procedures with respect to plant operations are met in full
- Maintain accurate records and proper administration as required by the various operations
- Continuously work at improving and optimizing the various processes
- Ensure adherence to all respective safety standards
- Effective management of stock
- Monitor plant records and report on the various processes and projects
- Attend client meetings and feedback/reports on the plant, processes
- Compilation of monthly Plant Reports, including feedback to Area Manager
- Prompt and professional client response, service and feedback
Requirements
- Relevant BSc Chem Eng or B Eng (Chemical) qualification
- MUST have +3 years' experience in advanced water treatment
- Good understanding of plant health and managing water treatment plants
- Effective trouble shooting experience in the water industry
- 3 years Management experience in a plant/factory environment
- Good time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Fully computer literate - MS Office suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Clients, Suppliers, Contractors as well as staff
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task across various projects, and tasks
- Market related salary - subject to relevant qualification, experience and track record

- Client’s own Assessment – this Assessment is provided by the Client with the focus on five job-related Key Performance Areas.
- Kencorp assesses the candidate’s suitability based on the five key performance areas provided by the Client. The qualified candidates will be short listed and forwarded to the Client.
