About the position

A dynamic company in the Fuel Transport & Logistics industry is looking an experienced Senior Operations Manager (which will include oversight and management of the Fleet):

Requirements:

  • Maintain and improve the operational systems, processes, procurement and policies in support of organisations mission.
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, IT and Finance).
  • Budgets: Implement; Adhere to.
  • Weekly / monthly reporting to Chief Executive.
  • Appropriate qualifications required.
  • Meticulous in work ethic.
  • Teamwork, accuracy and discipline required to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Suitable candidate must have a preference for countryside and must relocate to Harrismith.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Arranging, allocating and dispatching drivers according to company policy.
  • Updating and maintaining company vehicle allocation file with relevant information and as per company policy.
  • Scheduling of repairs and services. Investigate and determine legitimately of invoices for work done by suppliers for services and repairs, if required.
  • Responsible for arrangement of all licensing and registration needs.
  • Reconcile / investigate and update monthly fuel usage.
  • Communication and coordination between drivers and operational controllers.
  • Oversee the loading of all companies' vehicles.
  • Contribute to and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors and managers and departments.
  • Ensure that all drivers comply to regulations.
  • Reporting of any non-compliance of drivers to management immediately.

  • 8-10 years' experience in Fleet management and Operations is essential.

  • Management experience essential (at least 10 years).
  • Salary: CTC
