About the position
Role Overview
Looking for an organized, street-smart and administratively strong Operations & Logistics Coordinator to manage our rent-to-own motorcycle fleet and rider base in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be the day-to-day operational backbone of the Cape Town business — onboarding and off-boarding riders, keeping bikes on the road, managing spare parts, and ensuring our in-house tracking and telematics platform is fully operational. This role suits someone with a genuine interest in motorcycles, strong attention to detail, and the patience to work with a diverse customer base.
Key Responsibilities
Rider & Contract Management
- Manage a portfolio of 200–300 customers on rent-to-own motorcycle contracts.
- Contract new riders and process rider cancellations and off-boarding.
- Negotiate and resolve matters relating to bad debt, accidents or repair invoices.
- Coordinate breakdowns, accidents and theft-related incidents to ensure riders remain on the road with maximum uptime.
Stock & Inventory
- Manage stock and inventory of motorcycle spare parts, including ordering, issuing and stock counts.
Tracking & Telematics
- Oversee the in-house tracking and telematics platform to monitor rider service times, avoidance of dangerous areas and adherence to road rules.
- Coordinate installation and ongoing maintenance of tracking units on the fleet, since the platform is built in-house.
Rider Communication
- Provide clear, timely communication to all riders regarding applications, services, parts and cancellations.
Application Pipeline
- Manage the Cape Town rider application pipeline end-to-end, from enquiry through to contract signature.
Sales, Quoting & Invoicing
- Handle sales-related enquiries, prepare quotes and issue invoices accurately and on time
Skills & Attributes
- Administratively strong with excellent attention to detail.
- Highly organised and process-driven — a natural perfectionist.
- Intuitive and street-smart — able to read situations and people quickly.
- Patient and level-headed when dealing with every type of customer.
- A genuine interest in motorcycles.
- Clear written and verbal communicator.
