About the position

Opportunity: Operational Risk Manager: Business Continuity Planning.
Location: Centurion (Pretoria), Gauteng


Our client, a flagship development finance institution (bank), is looking for an Operational Risk Manager: Business Continuity Planning, to design and execute the organisation's world-class Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, protect assets, reputation, and stakeholders from disruptions while ensuring rapid recovery in crises.


Your Mission:

  • BCM Excellence: Lead frameworks, policies & strategies for emergency response, crisis management and IT disaster recovery.
  • Drive Preparedness: Conduct Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) & coordinate testing.
  • Mitigate Risks: Monitor threats, recommend controls & ensure recovery capabilities.
  • Engage Stakeholders:
  • Innovate & Benchmark: Research best practices, leverage technology & elevate BCM standards.

What You Bring:

  • Expertise: 4+ years in BCM (emergency/crisis management)
  • 4+ years in IT Disaster Recovery.
  • Sector Savvy: 2+ years in financial services (banking/fintech preferred).
  • Credentials: Degree/Diploma in Business/Risk Management.
