About the position

An established agricultural organisation is seeking an experienced agricultural and commercial leader with an NQF Level 8 Agricultural qualification, 10+ years’ relevant experience and 5+ years’ senior management experience. Candidates must have proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing revenue, profitability and business development, and commercialising agricultural products, services or technology. SACNASP registration, where applicable, and a valid driver’s licence are required.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the agricultural services strategy.
  • Lead agricultural intelligence, specialist services, precision farming and GIS.
  • Oversee agronomy, soil science, animal production, irrigation and advisory services.
  • Drive revenue, profitability, innovation and commercialisation.
  • Lead multidisciplinary agricultural, technical and commercial teams.
  • Build strategic relationships with producers, suppliers and industry partners.
  • Oversee drone and precision technology initiatives.
  • Ensure effective governance, risk and regulatory compliance.
  • Report to the Group CEO on performance, risks and growth opportunities
