About the position
We are looking for an experienced online sales professional with a talent for driving revenue across global e-commerce and B2B marketplaces. We are looking for a digitally savvy, commercially minded Sales Specialist to manage international sales through platforms like Amazon, eBay, Alibaba, AliExpress, Global Sources and more. In the position you'll ensure the brand is positioned strongly across all platforms while consistently achieving monthly sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage storefronts across Amazon, eBay, Alibaba, Global Sources, ThomasNet, etc.
- Create & optimise product listings (images, specs, pricing, SEO).
- Maintain catalogue accuracy and monitor competitor pricing.
- Coordinate order fulfilment with logistics & warehouse teams.
- Respond to platform enquiries, RFQs and customer queries promptly.
- Qualify and convert leads from RFQs and online enquiries.
- Provide technical product support and prepare quotations/pro-forma invoices.
- Manage international customer relationships across multiple time zones.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery timelines.
- Follow up on potential buyers, abandoned carts and open RFQs.
- Collaborate with marketing to support promotional campaigns and SEO activities.
- Conduct A/B testing (pricing, titles, images).
- Generate platform performance and analytics reports.
- Identify new digital marketplace opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Ensure export documentation is correctly prepared (HS codes, COO, packing lists).
- Assist with stock forecasting and demand planning.
- Track KPIs: conversions, responsiveness, listing performance, monthly sales.
Requirements
- 2-5 years' experience selling via global online marketplaces.
- Matric (mandatory)
- Diploma/Degree in Sales, Marketing, E-Commerce, Business or Engineering (advantageous)
- Additional certifications in Amazon, Alibaba or Digital Marketing are beneficial
- Proven track record of meeting online sales targets.
- Experience with industrial/technical product listings.
- Knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms and export processes.
- Strong understanding of pricing, online funnels and SEO.
- Proficiency with Seller Central / Alibaba Supplier Centre / Seller Hub.
- Strong Excel and CRM system experience (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce).
- Ability to understand basic technical product specifications.
- Basic digital marketing and keyword optimisation.
