About the position

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure stock accuracy when receiving, picking / packing and dispatching of goods and the candidate must ensure that:

  • All Departments receive correct quantities of stock in time and on time.
  • Any discrepancies with regards to inventory, safety and other anomalies are reported and rectified.

Main areas of responsibilities:

  • Planning, coordination and control on daily operational warehouse activities: "Same day Principle"
  • Inbound - Receiving, All stock returns, verification of GRN on incoming stock.
    Outbound - Monitoring Picking, / Production Order issues.
    General - Daily, Weekly and monthly reporting and cycle stock counts
  • Monitor daily workload - current and outstanding.
  • Adjust work capacity to finalize the daily operational requirements.
  • Ensure that perpetual counts are done accurately.
  • Give daily feedback to the warehouse manager.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly reporting as requested by Management.
  • Applying good housekeeping/Safety and accuracy of work in accordance with best warehouse practices.
  • Ensure to follow the Check List for Key holders at the Offsite Warehouse

About The Employer:

Our client based in Woodstock is looking to acquire an Offsite Warehouse Supervisor for one of their warehouses based in Woodstock (Cape Town). Succesful candidate should possesses the following skills and experience:




- Working knowledge and understanding of Inventory and WMS concepts
- Intermediate MS Excel, MS Word, and WMS experiences
- SAP knowledge will be advantageous
- Computer Literate
- Grade 12 is essential
- Code 10 drivers licence (own transport will be advantageous)
- Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical and Conceptual Thinking
- Concern for Order and Quality
