New Business Development Consultant - CPT

About the position

ENVIRONMENT:

A trusted leader in the logistics industry, is looking for a New Business Development Consultant who will play a pivotal role in driving their National's growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities. The consultant will develop strong client relationships, understand customer needs, and offer tailored logistics solutions to meet revenue targets.

DUTIES:

Lead Generation:

• Identify potential clients in target markets through research and networking.
• Develop a robust sales pipeline to achieve set targets.
• Cold call, schedule appointments, and meet with prospective clients to introduce their services.

New Business Generation:

• Meet the agreed monthly and annual business acquisition and revenue targets
• Prepare and submit competitive quotations to prospective customers
• Negotiate rates and service agreements in line with the company’s approved pricing structure

Client Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries during the on boarding process.
• Understand client needs to provide customized logistics solutions.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
• Negotiate pricing and service terms to secure contracts aligned with company objectives.

Market Analysis:

• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
• Provide feedback to management on market conditions and customer preferences.

Reporting and Administration:

• Maintain accurate records of sales activities in the CRM system.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

Matric Certificate;

? Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics

or transport sector.

? Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

ATTRIBUTES:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Persuasive negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

Other Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
