About the position
Are you passionate about building and maintaining cutting-edge network systems?
Our client is looking for a talented Network Engineer who will collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot network issues, and implement best practices to optimise network performance and security.
What you’ll do:
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
- Configure and install various network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
- Monitor network performance, analyse network traffic, and optimize network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system enhancements to optimize network security and performance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
- Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams.
- Stay up-to-date with current network technologies and industry best practices by attending networking workshops and pursuing certifications.
Your expertise:
- 3+ years proven work experience as a Network Engineer or similar role in network administration.
- In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, protocols, and security solutions.
- Hands-on experience with networking devices and network diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux), databases, and virtualisation.
Qualifications:
- Professional Certification such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
