About the position
Our clients in the consulting space are on the hunt for a Network Engineer - Data Centre Specialist who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure within data centres. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and reliability of all data centre network components.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy data centre network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Configure and manage network devices to ensure stable and secure
- Oversee the physical and virtual network environments within the data centre.
- Ensure the data centres infrastructure is scalable and meets the organizations needs.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect data centre networks from threats.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct regular network performance tests and inspections.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data centre network issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex problems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and data centre layouts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements - Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network engineering, particularly within data centres.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar.
