Network Architect at Huawei

About the position

• Understand Customer Requirements: Engage with customers to understand their unique requirements, business objectives, and technical environments. Provide tailored test scenarios, and deliver compelling POC results.
• End-to-End POC Execution: Plan, configure, and manage network POC environments using Huawei routers, switches, and other datacom products.
• Technical Validation: Demonstrate and test Huawei solutions (e.g., SDN, CloudFabric, IP/MPLS) to verify performance, security, and scalability.
• Lab & Field Testing: Set up and troubleshoot physical/virtual testbeds, including basic device configuration (CLI/Web), traffic simulation, and performance analysis.
• Demonstrations, Setup, and Configuration: Perform demonstrations and handle the initial configuration to ensure seamless deployment. Guide customers through the setup and implementation of Huawei networking products, ensuring alignment with their environment.
• Provide technical guidance and training to customers during POC phases.
• Documentation & Reporting: Document POC methodologies, results, and technical recommendations for sales and engineering teams.
• Project Coordination: Manage POC timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Network products
• Proficient in basic network device configuration (VLAN, routing protocols, QoS) and troubleshooting

Required Skills

• Has previously engaged with customers to understand their requirements, challenges & pain points
• Has end-to-end proof of concept execution (plan, configure & manage network POC environments)
• Has done demonstrations, setups and configurations to customers
• Can provide technical guidance and training to customers during POC phases
• Has GREAT communication skills & is highly organized
• Has worked with enterprise networks
