DBN000234– NATIONAL SALES MANAGER – (ENGINEERING/DISTRIBUTION) - DURBAN
Purpose of the job:
A National Sales Manager in manufacturing drives national revenue growth by developing sales strategies, managing regional teams, and nurturing key client relationships.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma
- Proven experience leading a sales team successfully
- Must be able to work within a cross functional group setting with significant collaboration but also be independent.
Technical Competencies & Experience:
- Strategic Planning & Growth: Developing and executing comprehensive national sales strategies to increase market share and profitability.
- Team Leadership: Leading, mentoring, and coaching a nationwide team of sales representatives or regional managers to achieve targets.
- Key Account Management: Building and maintaining relationships with top clients, negotiating, and closing large, high-value contracts.
- Sales Forecasting & Analysis: Analyzing performance metrics, market data, and trends to prepare accurate, timely sales forecasts and reports.
- Operational Collaboration: Working closely with marketing and product development teams to ensure brand consistency, successful product launches, and alignment with production capabilities.
- Performance Monitoring: Tracking sales data to identify strengths and weaknesses, adjusting plans to address inadequacies.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinating with production and logistics to meet customer demands for manufactured goods.
- Technical Sales Knowledge: Possessing in-depth knowledge of products/services to support the sales team in technical negotiations.
- Customer Relationship Management: Building relationships with major distributors or direct clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
