About the position
Are you a driven, sales-focused leader with a knack for turning equipment into revenue? Our client, a leading beverage manufacturer with a national footprint, is looking for an experienced National Asset Manager to take ownership of one of its most critical growth areas which is the sourcing, deployment, and management of sales assets such as dispensers, fridges, slush machines, and vending machines.
This role is national in scope and will require frequent travel across South Africa, occasional travel to African markets and Indian Ocean islands, and attendance at international trade shows to source cutting-edge equipment. You'll see first-hand how your work shapes customer experiences across multiple markets.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement strategies to maximise revenue from beverage dispensing assets.
- Source, procure, and deploy best-in-class equipment to meet diverse customer needs.
- Build a data-driven management platform to track and optimise asset performance.
- Lead and inspire a team that keeps assets in prime condition and customers delighted.
- Forge strong partnerships with internal sales, supply chain teams, and external suppliers.
- Identify new growth opportunities by spending time in trade and understanding market trends.
- Represent the brand at key industry events, exhibitions, and supplier visits.

- Identify and secure the best possible dispensing equipment and supporting technology.
- Spend time in trade to uncover opportunities to increase revenue through strategic asset placement.
- Develop clear execution plans to turn opportunities into measurable results.
- Build strong data and asset management systems
- Implement platforms that track and manage all assets nationwide.
- Link asset data directly to monthly revenue and volume performance to monitor ROI.
- Design an optimal maintenance structure - internal, external, or a hybrid - to ensure assets are always in excellent working order.
- Lead a high-performing team
- Recruit, develop, and retain a cohesive, capable team to manage procurement, deployment, and maintenance of assets.
- Foster powerful internal and supplier relationships
- Collaborate with sales teams to support asset deployment and verification.
- Partner with supply chain teams to ensure smooth logistics and stock availability.
- Build lasting partnerships with key suppliers to access top-quality equipment and service.
What You Bring
- 5-10 years' experience in the beverage industry.
- Proven track record in asset placement and management.
- Strong commercial acumen and data analysis skills.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and P&L.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of beverage dispensing technology and supplier networks.
Location: Preference for Gauteng-based candidates.
