About the position
An exciting opportunity exists for a Municipal Administrator within a leading property management and development environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective municipal account administration, risk management, and optimization of utility services across a diverse property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage landlord, service provider, and tenant relationships to optimize utility management.
- Source and verify municipal accounts from supply authorities.
- Handle tenant and council queries, including the opening of new accounts.
- Conduct regular reporting, tariff verification, and risk management.
- Support utility accounting functions, ensuring accurate cost and recovery allocations per billing cycle.
- Assess energy efficiency and recommend optimal utility tariffs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Acts, bylaws, and internal processes.
Requirements
- Experience in the property industry and municipal accounts administration (essential).
- Strong background in creditors, account reconciliations, and payments.
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate level).
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of Pastel/SAGE ERP 300 (advantageous).
- Experience in dealing with council queries (advantageous).
