About the position
Background:
- Exciting career opportunity for a Multimedia Designer to join a Marketing team within a leading manufacturing company
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma, Degree or relevant qualification in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Film, Digital Media
- 2–5 Years' professional experience in multimedia design, video production, content creation, or a similar role
- Experience working on Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects and Adobe InDesign
- A strong portfolio showing video production, editing, and multimedia work
- Experience creating content specifically for digital and social media platforms
- Experience in an in-house Marketing team, agency or corporate environment is advantageous
- Experience in B2B, manufacturing, engineering, technical or industrial environments is advantageous but not essential
- A valid South African driver's licence is preferred, as the role involves travel to sites
- Portfolio quality and practical capability will be weighed alongside formal qualifications and years of experience
Responsibilities:
- Plan, film, and edit professional video content
- Create short-form video for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and other relevant platforms
- Produce product and equipment videos that explain technical information in an engaging, accessible way
- Capture factory activity, manufacturing processes, project installations, site visits, events, Client visits, and behind-the-scenes content
- Produce interviews, employee features, thought-leadership content and corporate videos
- Edit raw footage into polished, brand-aligned final content
- Create motion graphics, animated text, titles, transitions and supporting visual elements
- Adapt video into different formats, lengths, and aspect ratios for each platform
- Repurpose longer-form footage into shorter social and digital content
- Assist with concepts, scripting, shot lists and storyboards
- Manage camera setup, composition, basic lighting, and audio during shoots
- Perform basic colour correction, colour grading, and audio editing
- Organise and maintain footage, project files, and the multimedia asset library
- Create digital campaign artwork, social media graphics and digital advertising
- Design email marketing graphics and website and landing page assets
- Develop product and campaign collateral, brochures, and product sheets
- Support presentations, infographics and technical visual content
- Produce sales support material and selected print collateral when required
- Translate technical information into clear, visually engaging content while keeping the brand consistent
- Help develop creative concepts for social media campaigns and ongoing content
- Create videos, reels, graphics, and other multimedia assets for social platforms
- Turn projects, products, people, and everyday activity into engaging content
- Help the Marketing team maintain a consistent flow of quality content aligned with the brand’s positioning and professional B2B audience
- Help position the company as a premium, experienced and technically credible brand in the HVAC-R and engineering industry
