About the position

Ballito/Durban/Upper Highway - A leading name in the automotive and tyre service industry is looking for a Motor Technician to join their team. This opportunity is with a well-established and reputable brand known for its quality workmanship, customer service, and strong nationwide presence.
As a Motor Technician, you will work in a clean, well-equipped environment that focuses on vehicle safety, tyre maintenance, and underbody services—without the need for complex mechanical repairs.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll handle a range of light motor vehicle services such as tyre fitting, wheel balancing, alignment, brakes, batteries, and shocks as well as service-related work. You’ll work as part of a professional team dedicated to delivering reliable, fast, and friendly service to every customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tyre fitting, repairs, wheel balancing, and alignments
• Inspecting and servicing brakes, shocks, and batteries
• Underbody checks and safety inspections
• Assisting with fitment of wheels and related accessories
• Advising customers on tyre care and basic automotive maintenance
• Ensuring all work is done according to safety and quality standards
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding their servicing needs and advice

Requirements:

• At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar Motor Technician role
• Experience with tyre services, alignment, and basic underbody servicing
• Knowledge of automotive safety checks and standards
• Valid driver’s and own vehicle Non-Negotiable
• Trade test or related qualification Non-Negotiable
