Mining Operations Trainer (Registered Assessor)

About the position

We have a vacancy for a Registered Assessor to fulfill a role in Mining Operations as a Trainer in Mokopane, Limpopo. The company is a prominent role player in the provision of specialised drilling equipment and services to the mining industry, locally and internationally.
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced On-Site Trainer with a focus on mining operations. 

The purpose of this role is to conduct theoretical training and to execute practical assessments on learners both in a classroom and Mining environment on Mining equipment and processes in the workplace.

The ideal candidate will be a registered assessor with proven expertise in developing and delivering training programs within the mining industry. The primary responsibility of the On-Site Trainer is to ensure that employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles safely and efficiently.
 
Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and provide non-technical training on training shifts.
• Do needs analysis, conduct training interventions and evaluate learners performance.
• Deliver training for different functional areas on aspects of legally required training.
• Train and assess Learners according to the legal requirements and satisfaction of the NQF & MQA directives
• Conduct practical and theoretical training
• Coordinate and control all aspects of training courses
• Manage compliance of the teams within work area with external (legislative, regulatory, permitting) local requirements as a minimum level of site performance.
• Monitor learners’ performance and application of procedures

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Grade 12
• Relevant Higher Certificate /National Diploma with OD- ETDP qualification
• Assessor / Moderators Certificate compulsory
• 5 years’ experience in Mining/TMM discipline.
• 2 -3 years of experience in Mining Functional Training and Human Resources Development
• Proficient in MS Office/ Excel
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to work pay weekend structure (on site – full time – Mon – Sat) – off five days at month end
• Resides in the Mokopane / Mapela / host community area
