About the position
Our client is looking for a Millwright to join their team in Germiston. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing high-speed manufacturing equipment within a plastics packaging environment. This role requires in-depth experience with machinery such as Husky, Sidel, Nissei, injection and blow moulding machines, and compressors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on manufacturing machinery
- Ensure optimal performance of injection and blow moulding machines
- Conduct scheduled and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical breakdowns
- Maintain and improve equipment reliability and safety
- Accurately complete maintenance records and reports
Requirements:
- Trade Test as a Millwright (essential)
- Solid experience in a plastics packaging or related manufacturing environment
- Hands-on knowledge of Husky, Sidel, Nissei, compressors, and injection/blow moulding machinery
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Willingness to work overtime as required (not guaranteed)
