Are you a skilled Millwright with a strong grasp of technical drawings, fault finding, and equipment testing? We're looking for a hands-on professional who thrives in both workshop and field environments, with expertise in mechanical and electrical installations, tool usage, and technical problem-solving.
You'll be responsible for interpreting complex drawings, conducting faulty diagnostics, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment. Your ability to communicate clearly, act decisively, and work collaboratively will be key to your success in this role.

Our client is looking to employ a Millwright based in Ottery
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical
- Fault analysis and problem solving
- Identify, immediately report and rectify all technical areas of concern on assigned equipment.
- Responsible for the workshop
- Repairs
- Rectify any defective equipment or tooling as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Assist Maintenance Manager in identifying when to involve suppliers (e.g. toolroom or external suppliers)
- Maintenance
- Develop maintenance plans and check lists on assigned equipment together with Maintenance Manager / team.
- Ensure maintenance on assigned equipment is done at required intervals according to the plans
- Identify spares needed for assigned equipment.
- Construction
- Building of racks, stands, dividers, etc. using wood, steel, concrete and other building materials
- Factory installations
- Management
- Have an overview what needs to be done and report to Maintenance Manager.
- Ensure sound relationships and communication with internal work-related staff
Administration - Log jobs performed
- Contact external suppliers as agreed with Maintenance Manager to assist in solving problem
- Report tools needed to Maintenance Manager.
Health & Safety - Ensure and enforce that aspects in area of responsibility conform to Health and safety requirements
- Maintain housekeeping standards in area of responsibility (e.g. ensure cleanliness of technical areas, stores, workshops and machines)
- Work safely and report on safety hazards or issues.
Food (Product) Safety - Food safety standards are site specific and at these sites employees shoul
- Apply the site's food safety principles and standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Matric is a must!
- Relevat Diploma /Degrees/ Certificates
- Minimum N3 in Millwright trade theory and trade tested
- 5 years relevant experience post trade test.
