3. JOB EVALUATION CRITERIA
A) Knowledge and Skills
Secondary Education Grade 12
Tertiary Education (including Diplomas, Certificates and Degrees)
Minimum N3 in millwright trade theory and trade tested
Experience 5 years' experience post trade test
B) Competencies
Knowledge Skills
Sound understanding of drawings
Fundamentals of fault finding and equipment testing
Have knowledge and understanding of:
* Workshop / tool room work. o Utilization of the full range of hand and power tools (including welder, milling machine, lathe).
* Technical principles and drawings (e.g. assemblies and spare part finding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric).
* Making proper sketches for part manufacturers.
* Assigned equipment. Sound knowledge on H&S and safe working procedures
Installation of electrical and mechanical related equipment.
Fault finding and problem solving.
Good communication skills.
Ability to act decisively and urgently.
High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
Other Special Requirements
Have a general understanding of:
* Process (material feeding and drying, injection moulding and reheat stretch blow moulding).
* The technology applied in all processes utilized in the factory, related to mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Able to make good business aligned decisions whilst maintaining maintenance standards, practices & procedures in line with defined and communicated authority and as per instructions.
D) Accountability
Ensure escalation to the appropriate level of authority.
