Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery and equipment within our water treatment plants. This role requires a combination of mechanical and electrical expertise, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and implement corrective actions as required.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems to restore functionality.
- Install new equipment and machinery according to specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize plant performance and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Document maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians or operators as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and productivity.
Requirements:
- Red Seal Millwright certification is essential.
- Proven experience as a Millwright in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably within the water treatment or related industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and PLCs.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency call-outs as needed.
