About the position

• Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent.
• Responsible for effective operation of all machinery and equipment at our factory.
• Repairing breakdowns on assigned mechanical and electrical equipment to reduce production stoppage time.

Desired Skills:

• Trade Tested Artisan with proven experience in maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Have Matric with Mathematics
• Physical Sciences or N3 in a Technical field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience PLC experience is essential. Have a good mechanical aptitude and be willing to progress in a new field of work
• Be hands-on and able to work in a pressurized environment
• Be prepared to work shifts and overtime when requested
• Have good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and able to use own initiative
• Be self-motivated
• Be a team player Have good communication skills.

Desired Work Experience:

• 2 to 5 years Consumer Goods Manufacturing
• 2 to 5 years Assembler / Fabricator

Desired Qualification Level:

• Certificate

The company manufactures and develops a range of large appliances from gas stoves, refrigerators, washing machines and tumble dryers to continuous clean ovens and convection ovens.
