The Role: Millwright
This role is central to maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment across the plant, from production machinery to warehouse systems. The Millwright will drive automation initiatives, support capital and non-capital projects, and ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards. It's a dynamic and hands-on role ideal for someone proactive and solutions-driven.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance.
- Execute and improve the planned maintenance system and update technical documentation.
- Drive automation improvements, including PLC programming and AC/DC drive configuration.
- Assist with capital and non-capital project execution, including equipment commissioning.
- Perform job costing, material requisitions, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate job card documentation and report on maintenance activities daily.
- Ensure all work meets SABS/SANS [Phone Number Removed]; standards and includes COC where required.
About You
- Red Seal qualified Millwright with N4 Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical and electrical experience.
- Strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systems.
- Proficient in fault-finding, panel wiring, and understanding of electrical drawings.
- Computer-literate with knowledge of MS Office and maintenance systems.
- Able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Willingness to be on call and work weekends when required.
