What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
You'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of advanced machinery and packaging systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. From diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues to installing and commissioning new equipment, your technical expertise will be put to good use. You'll also play a key role in machine building-assembling packaging machines and conveyor systems, conducting quality checks, and integrating electrical control panels. Additionally, you'll contribute to safety compliance, documentation, and training initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

What you'll need
You'll need a Red Seal Trade Certification as a Millwright and a minimum of five years of post-qualification experience, ideally within the FMCG or packaging industry. Strong proficiency in reading technical drawings, assembling mechanical and electrical components, and working with sensors, motors, and pneumatic systems is essential. You should have a valid driver's licence, the ability to travel when needed, and be based in Cape Town (or willing to relocate at your own cost). A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset will set you apart.
