A well-established company is recruiting for a
SENIOR SPECIALIST: STRATEGIC SOURCING
ROODEPOORT

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide effective support to the Strategic Sourcing line manager, Fund Management team and the Scheme as a whole.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Solid understanding of regulatory and reimbursement guidelines for medicine, devices and appliances.
• Data analysis of medical devices and appliances coupled with stakeholder engagements.
• Ensure all enhancements and interventions are successfully implemented in the organisation.
• Participate in the development, implementation and ongoing health risk management initiatives within the GEMS Fund Management team.
• In addition there is a requirement to engage with client schemes to position and ultimately implement these initiatives.
• Monitor and conduct data and cost analysis with respect to strategic sourcing of medicine, and devices and appliances.
• Engage with external and internal stakeholders to build informed and supportive mutual relationships.

• Liaise and engage with industry stakeholders on strategic sourcing objectives including but not limited to pricing and supply.
• Assist and respond timeously to scheme queries and facilitate the escalation processes to achieve the desired outputs or improvements.
• Report-writing ability with excellent presentation skills to relevant stakeholders.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Min 5 years' experience in managed healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical and appliance industry
• Must have a clinical qualification e.g. pharma or medical doctor
