About the position

Medical Front Office Administrator (Shifts), Mental Health Clinic - Pretoria
Our client, a Mental Health Clinic, based in Pretoria East, is seeking to recruit an experienced medical administrator.

Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk Management:
  • Greet & assist patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Manage incoming calls and route them appropriately.
  • Ensure patient information is accurately entered into the electronic medical records system (Trifour - Trimed).
  • Verify insurance information and collect co-payments as required.
  • Ensure a neat and tidy work area.
  • Maintaining an orderly and professional working atmosphere between administrative team and co-workers.
  • General administrative duties.
  • Administrative and Admission Duties:
  • Manage and coordinate the facility's waiting list and bed list with discharges and admissions.
  • Maintain and update patient records and files.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient care.
  • Maintain office supplies and stock levels.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails.
  • Provide assistance and information to patient queries.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
  • Laisse with Drs & MDT rooms
  • Presenting orientation group
  • Compliance and Confidentiality:
  • Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality regulations in handling patient, personal and facility information.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Matric
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar medical receptionist position
  • Computer literate (TriFour - Trimed would be an added advantage and excellent Microsoft Excel experience)
  • Own transport

Working hours:
Shifts of 182 hours total per month (split in a morning / midday or afternoon shift) spanning over an 8-hour shift from 07h30 19h30 with 2 (two) Sunday shifts per month and paid overtime.
