About the position

About the role:

The candidate will be required to work for a specialist psychiatrist who requires a very high standard of work. Excellent patient care, meticulous and highly efficient work and strong work ethic is imperative. The practice is at a psychiatric clinic that deals with both inpatients and outpatients. The environment is therefore high-pressured and requires understanding of dealing with complex patients.

About The Employer:

What we are looking for:

*Must be above 35 years old and want to stay in a career as a personal assistant long-term.
* Must have no intentions to emigrate in the next 10-15 years.
*Must have C's and above in all subjects on matric certificate and must therefore be intelligent, with excellent verbal and written English skills as well as excellent English comprehension in both verbal and written forms.
*Be experienced, meticulous, highly competent, highly organised, able to prioritise work appropriately, be very efficient and able to grasp concepts quickly and easily.
*Always be punctual, honest, reliable, emotionally mature, able take responsibility for their actions and not allow personal problems to negatively affect the smooth running of the doctor's practice.
*Have a calm, patient, friendly and helpful demeanour and listen attentively to patients.
*Be able to assist the doctor as needed including welcoming and attending to patients, creating electronic medical files and filing all patient documents electronically, invoicing and taking payments from patients, reception duties (with excellent communication and telephone etiquette), respond timeously to emails and patient queries, assist with hospital admissions, dealing with patients families, booking tests for patients and assisting the doctor with patient referrals to other disciplines, typing letters when necessary and other administrative duties that are required of a medical practice.
*Have experience using Goodx billing software and other medical billing software and be able to liaise with medical aids for various aspects related to the practice.
*Have excellent knowledge and use of Google Calendar and Microsoft (One Drive, OneNote, Excel, Word).
*Work well with nurses, admin staff, other receptionists, and all other staff at the clinic.
*Must be willing to be well-versed with all the doctor's policies and procedures and adhere to them accordingly.
*Must be able to work flexible hours in the case of an emergency with a patient or hospital admissions, where the doctor would require assistance.


Requirements:

*No interview will be offered without first seeing the candidate's matric certificate and other relevant qualifications.
*Own transport preferable.
*Must be available immediately for interviews and training if accepted for the job.
*Must be able to commence work 2 May 2024
