Medical Practice Manager

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00-17:00
• Friday: 08:00-16:30
• One Saturday per month: 08:00-12:00

Role Overview

An experienced Practice Manager is required to oversee the daily operations of a medical practice. The successful candidate will manage a team of approximately 15-20 employees, maintain high standards of patient care and ensure the practice operates efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the practice's digital diary and appointment scheduling.
• Lead and manage a staff complement of 15-20 employees.
• Oversee building, equipment, stock and quality control.
• Monitor daily operations to ensure excellent patient care.
• Conduct weekly team meetings and track performance against targets and goals.
• Develop, coordinate and implement marketing initiatives to grow the practice's patient base.
• Oversee all administrative functions.
• Identify operational challenges and proactively implement practical solutions.
• Liaise with medical aids regarding benefits, authorisations and payments.

Minimum Requirements

• At least five years' experience in medical practice management.
• Proven ability to manage a team of approximately 20 employees.
• Matric.
• Additional relevant qualifications will be advantageous.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English, both written and verbal.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office and financial software.
• Experience dealing with medical aids, benefits, authorisations and payments.
• Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver's licence.
• Clear criminal record.
