About the position
Well known medical equipment supplier requires an experienced Medical Device Technician for the Gauteng region. Experience with pumps, infusion or transfusion medical equipment is essential.
Install, Service, Repair, and Upgrade:
Installation: Setting up new medical equipment and ensuring it functions correctly
Maintenance: Performing regular checks and preventive maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
Repair: Troubleshooting and fixing any issues that arise with medical devices.
Calibration: Ensuring that equipment is accurately calibrated for precise measurements and performance.
Documentation: Keeping detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and calibrations performed.
Compliance: Ensuring all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Technical Support: Providing technical assistance and support to healthcare staff.
Service Excellence: Ensure a high standard of service is maintained.
Feedback: Regularly update the Technical Manager on work progress and any disruptions.
Technical Support: Handle technical queries over the phone.
SAP Compliance: Upload details of all jobs, including received, completed, and used spares, into SAP.
General Duties: Perform any additional tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the department.
Stock Control:
Inventory Management: Managing spare parts and tools and maintaining adequate stock levels.
Timely Requests: Promptly request spare parts needed for equipment repairs and services.
Boot Stock Levels: Maintain adequate levels of boot stock.
Stock Management: Participate in regular stock takes.
Quality Management:
OEM: Repair and maintain equipment in accordance with OEM Standards.
Adhere to the quality standards set by the company Quality System and policies.
Ensure that technical services meet customer requirements based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Training:
Stay Updated: Continuously update your product knowledge.
Certification Validity: Ensure all training certifications remain current.
Assist customers in effectively using products.
Education and Skills:
Diploma /Degree in Clinical/Electronics Engineering/ Light Current
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Medical Field Service Technician
Experience with pumps, infusion or transfusion equipment is essential
Own transport and valid drivers license
Minimum of basic Level MS Excel
Monthly, yearly, and strategic planning
Operating in a high pressurized environment
Operate with a minimal degree of supervision
