Purpose Statement
As a Graduate Mechatronic Engineer at Bowler, you will be part of a cross-functional,
project-focused team. You will report to the Senior Mechatronic Engineer, and will work primarily on automation, production, and digital systems.

2. POSITION DESCRIPTION
Main Outputs and Responsibilities for this Position (please provide a short description under each heading/output)
Key Responsibilities
Deliver diverse engineering projects from concept through implementation.
Develop and integrate automation systems (PLC/HMI, motion, vision, SCADA,
server-side and front-end systems, data, analytics)
Machine builds and upgrades. Including electrical, mechanical, and controls.
Implement engineering standards, documentation, and equipment data models.
Deliver reliability projects aimed at modern maintenance and predictive
approaches.
Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and implement long-term solutions.
Work cross-functionally with other departments and disciplines.
Produce high-quality, well-structured engineering work with strong attention to
detail.
Stay focused and methodical, under real production pressures and time-sensitive
conditions.
1. Administrative Support
Maintain accurate documentation of technical work, project files, and progress reports, and communicate effectively with engineers and project managers.
2. Health and Safety
Ensure and enforce that aspects in area of responsibility conform to health and safety requirements.
Maintain housekeeping standards in area of responsibility (e.g. ensure cleanliness assigned machines and areas).
Work safely and report on safety hazards or issues.
Report any accidents, incidents and near misses. 3. Quality
Apply the company’s quality principles and standards.
Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
4. Food Safety System Certification (FSSC)
Food safety standards are site specific and at these sites employees should: o Apply the site’s food safety principles and standards. o Report any food safety hazards or issues to your Supervisor/Manager. o Comply to and maintain all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) in relation
to the Company’s FSMS (Food Safety Management System).

3. JOB EVALUATION CRITERIA
A) Knowledge and Skills
Secondary Education Grade 12
Tertiary Education (including Diplomas, Certificates and Degrees)
Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics engineering preferred Engineering degrees in related fields will be considered where candidates can demonstrate cross-disciplinary capability
Diploma in Mechatronics will be considered for candidates with exceptional technical capability and proven project experience
Experience 1-2 years relevant experience
