About the position
Job Description:
They are seeking an operationally strong Mechanical Site Manager to take full responsibility for on-site execution of mechanical installations and overland piping works. This is a hands-on role suited for a candidate who excels in site control, people management, and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations and multidisciplinary teams (±10 people).
- Supervise installation of HDPE, HDPE-lined, and Rubber-lined piping systems.
- Execute new installations and tie-ins according to technical drawings and quality standards.
- Enforce site safety systems, work permits, and daily toolbox talks.
- Report progress to Project/Operations Management and interface with client representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Recognized Trade Qualification (Fitter, Boilermaker, Welder)
- National Diploma (Mechanical/Civil/Construction).
- Experience: 5-10 years in a mining or heavy industrial setting.
- Technical: Proven track record in site management, construction sequencing, and overland piping.
- Licensing: Valid Driver's License.
- Attributes: Practical, solutions-oriented, and able to work independently in remote site environments.
Contract Details:
- 6-12 Month Contract with an option to renew.
- Site-based role in the Northern Cape.
