About the position

DUR002066LB – Mechanical Sales Engineer – Durban

Purpose of the job:
To grow and maintain customer base of the client within the Oil and gas, power, coal, ports & harbours, steel and metals, cement and general industry of mining and minerals.


Required Qualifications 

  • Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
  • Bachelor of Engineering: Mechanical or technical qualification is essential.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant Sales experience post qualification is essential.
  • 10 years relevant Sales experience if there is no tertiary qualification.

 
Comfortable to travel extensively within South Africa.
Technical Competencies and responsibilities

  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Service driven, innovative, reliable and assertive.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
  • Able to work within a team environment.
  • Strategic business development of sales opportunities within South Africa in the following industries:
  • Responsible for achieving budget as well as defined KPI targets.
