MECHANICAL PRESS TECHNICIAN to be based in White River Mpumalanga

About the position

The top priorities of the role are:

Effective Fault Finding and Resolution: Identifying equipment breakdowns, estimating resources required for repairs, and implementing corrective measures promptly to address issues and prevent further disruptions to production.

Maintenance Schedule: Assisting in planning and implementing the maintenance schedule to ensure that tasks are completed on time and according to specified standards, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations.

Reliable Plant Availability: Ensuring the continuous operation of the plant by conducting inspections, repairs, and installations, and servicing electrical and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and maintain reliable plant availability.

The purpose of the role is to:

perform critical maintenance, fault finding, and repair work on all presses at the WR factory, ensuring reliable plant availability, meeting production targets, and minimizing downtime. Additionally, the role involves planning and executing critical maintenance on press protection systems.

The minimum requirements for the role are:

• Grade 12 with N4 - N6 and Trade Tested (Millwright/ Technician) or Tertiary qualification (S4)
• Minimum 4 years specialist applied knowledge of proportional hydraulic systems and fault finding, with formal training in hydraulic systems
• Own reliable transport and valid passenger vehicle drivers licence
• Computer literate in MS Office
• Sound health with a valid certificate of fitness (or willingness to undergo a medical) and willingness to work on standby
• CANDIDATES WHO ARE WILLING TO RELOCATE WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED
