ENVIRONMENT:
OUR client, a global Investment Group has an exciting opportunity for a skilled, energetic & hands-on Mechanical Fitter to join its team in The Netherlands. This role is ideal for technical professionals with strong experience in industrial machinery maintenance, repair, overhaul, and assembly who are ready to take their skills abroad. Applicants will need to be Trade Tested as a Mechanical Fitter/Turner/Millwright or have a Mechanical Engineering or Mechantronics Diploma with 3 years hands-on technical maintenance and repair experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and have strong practical skills in mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, alignment, and basic welding. The package includes full relocation assistance to The Netherlands, work visa sponsorship and administrative setup support, a competitive international European salary package with shift allowances and Dutch language learning course support.
DUTIES:
- Perform preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and scheduled overhauls on complex industrial machinery.
- Execute machine assembly, disassembly, and component replacements (including bearings, shafts, gearboxes, pumps, motors, and drives).
- Diagnose, fault-find, and service hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications for precision assembly and alignment.
- Ensure optimal operating conditions of plant equipment through rigorous testing and quality checks.
- Work shift rotation patterns and respond to operational breakdowns efficiently.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Trade Tested (Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Millwright) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on technical maintenance and repair experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong practical skills in mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, alignment, and basic welding.
- Basic electrical knowledge is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in English (spoken and written) with a willingness to learn Dutch.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Adaptable, independent worker comfortable in heavy industrial settings and open to shift work.
