Now Hiring: Trade Tested Mechanical Fitter (Manufacturing Industry)
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Trade Tested Mechanical Fitter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong construction background who is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Trade Tested Mechanical Fitter (Red Seal or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter
- Proven experience in the manufacturing industry (essential)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Experience installing, maintaining, repairing, and aligning mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
- Valid driver's licence will be advantageous
- Clear criminal record
- Medically fit to work on construction sites
- Reliable, honest, trustworthy, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery
- Perform fault-finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Work effectively with site supervisors and project teams
- Complete job documentation and maintenance reports
- Adhere to all company policies and health and safety requirements
