Our client in the Engineering industry is currently looking to employ a Mechanical Engineer based in Roodepoort, Gauteng.

R25000 to R30000 CTC
Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years relevant experience.
• Effectively interpret applicable data.
• Clear criminal record and medical record as well as continual maintenance thereof.
• Integrity without compromise.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate.
• Provide relevant, professional feedback to relevant persons.
• Exceptional planning, integration, and resources allocation skills.

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:

• Customer Satisfaction – is always the main objective.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with your team, internal departments and clients.
• Liaison between all internal departments and site to ensure all products, resources and materials are provided on time as per site requirements.
• Direct activities and resources for the site team. Provide effective support to the site team.
• Co-ordinate and monitor site staff, resources and prioritization.
• Complete routine checks at the site where you are allocated.
• Manage quality expectations as per site work.
• Provide continual feedback and reporting on site work.
• Estimate budget and scope of project.
• Assist as per production drawings and data-packs using CAD.
• Construction Management – Construction documentation, contract instructions, financial cost control, ongoing estimates, payment valuations, quality assurance inspections, quality control documentation as well as commissioning verification.
• Conceptual Design & Viability Studies - Conceptual designs, concept comparisons and cost estimates.
• Projects close-out - Review hand-over documentation, Operation and Maintenance Manuals and final works as well as final completion defects list.
• Health & Safety documentation submissions
• Out of town work as per business requirements. Most work will be based in Johannesburg.
• Any other tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned to you from time to time.
• Working outside of normal working hours is expected from time to time.
