About the position

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Centurion. An exciting opportunity for a qualified mechanical engineer with steel manufacturing industry experience to contribute to dynamic projects in the manufacturing, mining, or project management sectors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer (Degree in Mechanical Engineering)
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the manufacturing, mining or steel industry
• Vast experience with Solid Works or CAD, FEA's,
• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Advanced experience in tender processes, projects and quotations
• Working Experience in steel & manufacturing environments is a definite requirement
• Able to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist senior engineers with the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components.
• Perform technical calculations and analyses to ensure safe and efficient mechanical designs.
• Attend project meetings and contribute to planning and execution phases.
• Conduct studies, simulations, and other tasks to support the technical operations team.
• Stay informed on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
• Follow all health, safety, and company protocols.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by management within the company's scope.
• Participate in problem-solving sessions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
