Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Qualification - Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years' experience in a technical drawing environment
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or AutoCAD).
• Fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering principles
• Strong knowledge of mechanical components and manufacturing processes (e.g., sheet metal, welding, machining).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.

Overview of position

• Technical Drafting: Generate detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models for vehicle components and assemblies using CAD software.
• Design Support: Assist senior engineers in the design phase of vehicle modifications, including chassis adjustments, interior fit-outs, and specialized equipment integration. Assist senior engineers in the development of new modification packages, ensuring that designs are functional and manufacturable.
• Documentation: Maintain and update the engineering drawing database. Ensure all revisions are correctly logged and archived.
• Bill of Materials (BOM): Assist in compiling accurate BOMs for production, ensuring all parts and hardware are accounted for.
• PLM Administration: Upload, organize, and manage CAD data, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and technical specifications within the company's PLM system.
• Version Control: Ensure all drawing revisions are accurately tracked and that outdated documentation is decommissioned according to company standards.
• Quality Compliance: Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards (ISO/SANS) and company-specific drafting protocols.

Salary Bracket
R20 000 to R30 000 per month basic + benefits, depending on experience, qualification(s) and current/previous salary
Benefits:

• Performance Bonus- Performance based depending on Company and EE performance. (Not guaranteed).
