Mathematics and Computer Skills Lecturer (Contract) (Eastern Cape)

About the position

ENVIRONMENT:
YOUR numerical ability and prior lecturing experience are sought to fill an Independent Contracting role as a Mathematics and Computer Skills Lecturer of a dynamic Academic Institute at the Nelson Mandela Bay campus. You will lecture Humanities-related modules on a part-time basis while assisting with administration and departmental affairs and activities as required by the academic department. The successful incumbent will require an Honours Degree in Applied Mathematics or Computer Science with suitable lecturing work experience with the necessary knowledge of Higher Education practices and processes and relevant research experience.

DUTIES:
Modules to be lectured: Introduction to Mathematics, Introduction to Computer Skills

• General Administration.
• Set and mark assessments.
• Preparation of notes and additional study materials.
• Quality Assurance.
• Management of At-risk students.

REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications -

• Honours in Applied Mathematics or Computer Science.

Experience/Skills -

• Relevant lecturing experience.
• Necessary knowledge of Higher Education practices and processes.
• Relevant research experience.
