About the position
Our client is looking for a Marketing Specialist to take ownership of their marketing function and play a key role in shaping the future of a growing, forward-thinking consultancy. This is a rare opportunity to build a marketing function from the ground up, moving beyond a model that has traditionally relied on a combination of internal support and external partners. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish a more strategic, consistent, and impactful marketing approach.
The ideal candidate will take the time to develop a deep understanding of the business, its services, clients, and culture, using these insights to create authentic marketing strategies that engage the right audiences across the most effective channels. This is a hands-on role with full ownership of the end-to-end marketing function, offering the autonomy to make a meaningful impact from day one.
Reporting directly to the Co-Founders, the successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, contributing to the company's growth while helping to shape its marketing direction. As the business continues to expand, there is a clear opportunity for the role to evolve into a Head of Marketing position.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Understanding & Strategic Input:
- Invest time to understand Insight Consulting’s full value network: our products, services, clients, industries, and competitive positioning.
- Develop a deep appreciation of our culture and values, and ensure all marketing activity is a genuine reflection of who we are.
- Provide informed recommendations on which products and services to promote, to which audiences, and through which channels - based on business priorities.
- Attend internal strategic sessions and stay close to the co-founders to align marketing with business direction
Digital Marketing & Channel Strategy:
- Own and grow our LinkedIn presence, continuing to build thought leadership and brand awareness through posts, webinars, articles, and engagement.
- Research, evaluate and recommend new digital channels (including TikTok and Instagram), and develop a rollout plan that makes sense for our brand and audience.
- Execute multi-channel campaigns end-to-end, from concept through to performance analysis.
- Stay current with digital marketing trends, platform algorithm changes, and emerging tools - bring ideas and apply them.
Content Creation
- Write compelling, authentic content that captures the Insight Consulting voice. We are not looking for AI-generated copy - we want real ideas, real personality, and real relevance.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned to business priorities, campaigns, and industry moments.
- Interview and collaborate with consultants and leadership to surface stories, insights and expertise worth sharing.
- Produce content across formats: articles, social posts, case studies, newsletters, event write-ups, and more.
Thought Leadership & Webinars:
- Own the thought leadership pipeline end-to-end - identify topics, match them to the right subject matter experts in the business, and drive the process through to published output.
- Coordinate with consultants and leadership to develop and publish articles, whitepapers and opinion pieces that reflect the depth of expertise within the business.
- Plan and coordinate webinars - managing logistics, briefing internal speakers, preparing supporting materials, and ensuring follow-up content is produced and distributed.
- Hold subject matter experts accountable to agreed timelines - managing this process with professionalism and persistence to ensure commitments are met.
Design & Brand Consistency
- Create and manage visual content that reflects our brand: professional, distinctive, and never boring.
- Maintain design consistency across all channels and materials - from social graphics to presentations and proposals.
- Collaborate with internal resources and, where necessary, guide external creative support.
- Champion brand standards across the business, ensuring all external-facing output is on-brand.
- Events & Conference Coverage
- Attend relevant industry conferences, events and speaking opportunities on behalf of Insight Consulting.
- Record, document and repurpose event content into compelling digital assets (video clips, write-ups, social posts, etc.).
- Identify opportunities for the business to increase its presence at key industry events.
Technology & Tools:
- Leverage marketing technology tools (scheduling, analytics, design, AI-assisted workflow) to work efficiently and effectively.
- Proactively research and recommend new technologies that can enhance marketing productivity and impact.
- Track and report on marketing performance metrics, with a view to continuously improving.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- A recent graduate or early-career professional with a relevant qualification in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Exceptional written communication skills with a genuine ability to craft engaging, original content.
- Strong design sensibility and hands-on experience with design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar).
- Working knowledge of LinkedIn as a professional marketing channel, including content and engagement strategy.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for digital marketing, emerging channels, and new technologies.
- A proactive, self-starting mindset - comfortable working with limited guidance while also being responsive to direction.
- Ability to absorb complex, technical business concepts and translate them into accessible, engaging content.
Advantageous:
- Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram and other social media platforms from a business/marketing perspective.
- Experience with marketing analytics and reporting tools.
- Basic video editing or content production skills.
- Interest in or exposure to the technology and data sector.
