Job Title: Commercial Marketing Manager - FMCG

Reports To: Country Manager
Job Purpose:
The Commercial Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and profitability across FMCG product lines. This role integrates strategic marketing, sales performance analysis, and commercial acumen to optimize brand performance, drive market share, and manage profit and loss. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional, global teams to align execution with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Profit & Loss (P&L) Management
- Own the brand/ category P&L with accountability for revenue, margins, and profitability.
- Lead commercial decision-making related to pricing, promotions, and product portfolio management.
- Collaborate with finance and sales to ensure alignment with business targets and budgets.
- Pricing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute pricing strategies that maximize value and competitiveness in the market.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market dynamics to inform pricing decisions.
- Support pricing compliance and promotional ROI analysis.
- Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Lead the forecasting process in collaboration with supply chain and sales teams.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional impact to build accurate demand forecasts.
- Align marketing initiatives with supply chain capacity and inventory planning.
- Commercial & Marketing Analysis
- Analyze category performance, brand health metrics, customer insights, and campaign effectiveness.
- Monitor and report key KPIs to measure commercial and marketing success.
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly business reviews to senior management.
- Develop dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Track ROI of marketing and trade spend.
- Trade Marketing
- Develop and execute customer marketing plans and trade promotions in collaboration with sales and retail partners.
- Drive in-store visibility, activation, and shopper engagement strategies.
- Align brand strategy with retail execution across channels.
- Digital Marketing
- Oversee digital marketing campaigns across social media, eCommerce, search, and display.
- Leverage data and analytics to refine targeting and performance across digital platforms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in FMCG marketing or commercial management.
- Strong understanding of FMCG market dynamics, retail environments, and consumer behavior.
- Proficient in financial analysis, forecasting tools, and digital marketing platforms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
