About the position

Job Purpose
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and optimisation of multi-channel marketing campaigns across assigned international B2B event products. The role supports the Group Marketing Manager in delivering overarching strategic objectives, with a strong focus on driving visitor acquisition, engagement, and retention through data-led, omni-channel marketing strategies.
This role requires ownership of multiple event campaigns simultaneously, ensuring consistent delivery across digital, content, CRM, paid media, and external agency channels.

Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Develop, manage, and execute integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns for assigned event products in line with business objectives and timelines
  • Act as lead marketer for multiple exhibitions, owning end-to-end campaign delivery including planning, content creation, execution, optimisation, and reporting
  • Define and implement audience segmentation strategies to maximise visitor acquisition and engagement
  • Ensure messaging and value propositions are tailored to target markets and industry verticals

Budget & Commercial Management

  • Build, manage, and track marketing budgets for assigned products
  • Ensure efficient allocation of spend across channels to maximise ROI
  • Monitor campaign performance against budget forecasts and adjust accordingly

Content & Communications

  • Write, edit, and proof marketing copy across all channels including email, digital ads, landing pages, and promotional materials
  • Ensure all communications are aligned to brand guidelines and key messaging frameworks
  • Oversee creative development with internal teams and external agencies

Digital & Performance Marketing

  • Plan and execute digital marketing activity across paid media, email, social media, SEO, and CRM platforms
  • Manage campaign optimisation in real time based on performance data
  • Use analytics tools to measure attribution, engagement, conversion rates, and ROI

CRM & Automation

  • Work with CRM systems to segment audiences, manage data integrity, and execute automated campaign journeys
  • Develop and optimise email marketing automation workflows for engagement and conversion

Agency & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage external agencies including design, PR, digital, registration, and web partners
  • Ensure quality of deliverables and alignment with campaign objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Content, Operations, and Associations to ensure alignment and campaign success

Reporting & Insight

  • Produce detailed campaign reports including performance analysis, insights, and recommendations
  • Use data to continuously refine targeting, messaging, and channel mix
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and brand guidelines
  • Support sustainability and compliance initiatives, including ISO-aligned processes where applicable
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of marketing processes and performance standards

Person Specification
Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in event or B2B marketing campaign management
  • Proven experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, CRM, paid media, content)
  • Strong copywriting skills with ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously using structured project management tools
  • Strong analytical ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategy
  • Experience working in a B2B marketing environment

Desirable Experience

  • Degree or equivalent marketing qualification
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Experience in a structured KPI/performance management environment
  • Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting lead generation objectives
  • Experience delivering presentations to senior stakeholders
  • Exposure to international marketing environments
  • Experience within the charity / non-profit sector or purpose-driven organisations, particularly in stakeholder engagement or campaign fundraising environments

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting the development and execution of the charity's marketing strategy
  • Contributing ideas for growth, outreach, and audience expansion initiatives
  • Assisting with the implementation of approved marketing and engagement plans
  • Building, managing, and maintaining a newsletter subscriber database
  • Creating and managing email communications to supporters and stakeholders
  • Providing light administrative support, including coordinating school visit itineraries
  • Organising logistical details and communications with school principals and partners

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across international teams (UK and Brazil)
  • Experience or working knowledge of WordPress or similar website platforms
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools and campaign creation/sending
  • Experience working with designers to develop and adapt brand assets
  • Ability to draft or support press releases and media articles
  • Understanding of brand management and maintaining consistent messaging across channels
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage both marketing and administrative tasks

Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Email marketing automation and lifecycle campaign experience
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms including:
  • Google Ads
  • LinkedIn Campaign Manager
  • Meta Ads Manager
  • Google Analytics
  • Experience with tools such as:
  • CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent)
  • CMS platforms
  • Email automation platforms (e.g., Force24 or similar)

  • Adobe Photoshop or equivalent design tools
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
