About the position
PURPOSE STATEMENT
To effectively Manage all elements of the Brand Marketing mix within Southern Africa in order to ensure that the Brand continues to maintain and grow its dominant position.
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION
- Develop and implement an annual Marketing Plan
- Manage the Marketing budget based on collection of Franchisee marketing royalties
- Assume accountability for all national Marketing activities above & below the line
- Management of Advertising agency & Marketing vendors
- Management of the media plan, ensuring that expenditure and Brand objectives are delivered on
- Accountability for Menu and New Product Development, building a two year innovation pipeline to meet brand objectives and ensuring accurate forecasts for promotions and new products to minimize write off costs
- Drive Menu optimisation with regards to pricing strategy and menu mix to achieve targeted average GP's and deliver value to the brand's customer base
- Development and implementation of pricing strategies
- Responsible for Packaging development
- Management of all consumer research to gain consumer insights that drive strategic decisions
- Implementation of best practices with regards Marketing Management and project Management
- Co-ordinate and present the brand's Marketing plans at the National Franchisee Conference, National Franchise Forum meetings and regional roadshows
- Presenting overview of the brand's Marketing to all new Franchisees
- Development & Maintenance of the digital and Social Media Strategy
- Interface with Product, Training, Operations, New Business & Regions
- Manage implementation of CRM strategies for the Brand, encouraging customer retention and customer loyalty
- Provide a supportive Marketing role to the Retail and International Division
- Prepare and present to EXCO, comprehensive quarterly Marketing updates
- Ensure all Regional Marketing plans and local store Marketing campaigns align with the Brand Strategy
- Develop and implement Marketing collateral in line with Brand CI
- Prepare statistical analysis to assist with decision making
- Management of Public relations and sponsorships where relevant
- Develop Brand Managers
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Formal Education
- A suitable tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communication or Advertising.
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in FMCG or Retail or the Fast Food Industry in a similar role
- Previous franchising experience is preferable
- Leading successful teams
- Strong track record of successfully building brands
- Has successfully managed people and teams
- Management of budgets

- Excellent interpersonal & presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
- Financial Acumen
- Computer literate, above average PowerPoint and Excel skills
