Marketing Executive: Mugg & Bean at Famous Brands

About the position

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The position of the Marketing Executive is responsible for the overall marketing function and strategic direction and value creation of the brand in South Africa & Sub Saharan CDR market.

MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION

• Accountable to grow market share of the South African and Sub-Saharan CDR markets by building dominance within the categories via a strong vibrant and healthy brand.
• To ensure the development and implementation of three-year strategic brand / marketing plans which align with overall group strategies.
• Accountable for the preparation and management of annual sales and marketing budgets and related cash flows.
• Prepare and present to EXCO, comprehensive quarterly Brand updates.
• Management of Public Relations (inclusive of brand reputation management on Social Media and traditional channels)
• Management and leadership of the brand's marketing team.
• Accountable for the appointment and management of all advertising agencies and a related bouquet of vendors (approved suppliers).
• Accountability for Menu and New Product Development, building a two-year innovation pipeline to meet brand objectives and ensuring accurate forecasts for promotions and new products to minimize write off costs.
• Implementation of best practices within the team in regard to Marketing Management and Project Management.
• Managing global integrity of the brand across all markets, including Retail and International markets.
• Responsible for the brand's restaurant aesthetics and signage standards.
• Responsible for the consumer journey, both in restaurant and on all digital channels
• Implementing marketing global best practices.
• Maximising the brand's marketing budget and investment.
• Responsible for the hosting and packaging of the individual brand annual conference and regional roadshows.
• Managing and leveraging the National Franchisee Forum (NFF) monthly catch ups and quarterly forum meetings.
• Accountable to initiate the relevant brand and consumer research programmes.
• Interpreting brand specific monthly sales information stats packs and accompanying market segmentation.
• Managing and maximising leverage of the brands customer data for Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
• To manage and implement pricing strategies and channel margin management for the brand.
• To develop, build and maintain a satisfied and confident franchisee network.
• Managing existing and expanding strategic relationships and alliances with related services and product related suppliers.
• Contributing to the groups long range macro strategic plans and planning process.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Formal Education

Degree in Marketing Management or similar.

A post graduate qualification in marketing will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years' experience at Executive or senior management level in the Franchise Restaurant industry
• 10 Years brand building exposure accountability.
• Strong track record of success distinct experience.
• Solid exposure to digital and social marketing and classical marketing.
• Understanding of store design and aesthetics.
• At least 10 years' experience managing Franchisee networks and forums
