About the position

A market leading premium car manufacturer is in need of a Marketing Data Specialist to join their in house Digital Marketing team.

As the Marketing Data Specialist, you will spearhead the comprehensive management of the data-driven marketing technology stack, with a focus on Big Query, HubSpot and Tealium Customer Data Platform (CDP).

You will oversee the entire lifecycle of the analytics MarTech, AdTech, and cloud infrastructure, collaborating closely with agency partners to ensure optimal performance. This role extends to the development and maintenance of acquisition strategies, data-driven marketing initiatives and digital transformation agenda.

We seek a candidate proficient in working with diverse data sources, adept at data extraction, transformation and analysis across multiple platforms. Your insights will be instrumental in understanding the preferences and purchasing behaviours of premium automotive customers and consumer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying target audiences and refining extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes to facilitate seamless data ingestion across our cloud infrastructure.
  • Gathering and analyzing web analytics properties to derive actionable insights.
  • Understand the role and execution of a good SEO strategy and develop data driven action plans to improve performance.
  • Leveraging cloud technologies to develop use cases such as customer churn prediction, creative analytics, and hyper-personalization at scale to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Utilizing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data to forecast the success of marketing campaigns and their impact on sales.
  • Driving data-driven marketing by contributing to strategy development and campaign execution.
  • Monitoring campaign performance, compiling comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presenting actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Conducting market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth and brand enhancement.
  • Aggregating data from digital assets, including online advertising, website analytics, and social media, to inform decision-making.
  • Analyzing various metrics such as advertising costs, sales figures, web traffic, and social media engagement to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Evaluating campaign results and communicating successes, failures, and unexpected findings to refine ROI.
  • Assessing competitors' online performance to uncover untapped opportunities for the brand.
  • Analyzing statistics to improve online marketing efforts, including email marketing and PPC campaigns.
  • Staying abreast of digital marketing trends and best practices to enhance campaign performance.
  • Managing and optimizing the Tealium CDP platform in collaboration with agency partners to maximize data-driven insights.
  • Simplifying complex data into actionable recommendations and presenting findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Remaining up-to-date on industry developments and experimenting with new tools and strategies to drive digital marketing success.
  • Effectively translating technical data and insights for non-technical team members.
  • Modifying campaigns to optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) based on data analysis.
  • Conducting in-depth research, deriving insights, and crafting compelling narratives using data.
  • Establishing yourself as an influential voice within the company, driving impactful change through data-driven insights.
  • Lead the development and guidance of data partners in creating machine learning churn models, website propensity models, and creative analytics at scale using BigQuery and supporting technologies like Vertex AI. This involves overseeing the end-to-end process, from data preparation to model training and validation, to ensure accurate predictions and actionable insights.
  • Additionally, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to operationalize these models, driving the activation of data-driven strategies and optimizing marketing campaigns for maximum impact and ROI.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing Science, Economics, Information Systems, Data, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a relevant role such as data science, strategist, marketing analyst, or marketing data analyst.
  • Big data experience
  • Strong data analytical skills and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to derive insights from raw data.
  • Proficiency in data visualization.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical ability.
  • Experience with analytical and reporting tools including Google Analytics, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform, Tealium, Treasure Data or related CDP, social media analytics, Google Ads, Search Console and display ads platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing across various platforms such as social media, display, and programmatic.
  • Experience with SEO, SMM, SEM, and keyword research.
  • Familiarity with big data analytics.
  • Knowledge of websites, apps, and HTML.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
