About the position

ENVIRONMENT:

 

Our client is transforming the future of digital banking by building innovative technology that enables financial institutions to launch smarter, faster, and more customer-centric financial products. They are looking for an experienced Marketing Cloud Specialist to join their Product team and take ownership of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, driving customer engagement through data-driven marketing automation, journey optimisation, and platform excellence.

 

This is a hybrid role combining technical Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise with digital marketing strategy. Working closely with Product, Marketing, and Business stakeholders, you will design, build, optimise, and analyse customer journeys that deliver measurable business outcomes while ensuring best practice platform governance, compliance, and campaign performance.

 

DUTIES:

·         Design, build and optimise customer journeys across acquisition, onboarding, retention and win-back campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

·         Configure and administer the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, ensuring optimal platform health, deliverability and system performance.

·         Develop audience segmentation and personalised customer experiences using Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud capabilities.

·         Monitor campaign performance, analyse customer engagement metrics and identify opportunities to improve conversion, retention and overall campaign effectiveness.

·         Design and execute A/B and multivariate testing to continuously optimise customer journeys.

·         Manage Data Cloud customer profiles, audience segmentation, data quality and data integrations.

·         Configure Marketing Cloud flows and support real-time, event-driven customer journey orchestration.

·         Ensure compliance with POPIA and data governance standards across all customer communications.

·         Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Business and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable marketing automation solutions.

·         Maintain technical documentation, campaign processes and platform best practices.

·         Support and mentor internal users on Salesforce Marketing Cloud functionality and campaign execution.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

•       Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications or a related field (preferred).

•       Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator certification (required).

•       Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification (required).

•       Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification (advantageous).

•       3–5 years' hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience.

•       Proven experience designing and owning customer journeys within Marketing Cloud.

•       Strong understanding of customer segmentation, marketing automation and lifecycle marketing.

•       Experience analysing campaign performance and translating insights into measurable business improvements.

•       Knowledge of Data Cloud, AMP script, SQL, HTML/CSS and Salesforce integrations.

•       Sound understanding of POPIA and digital marketing compliance.
